We have another fantastic week of events in Hull, packed with shows and gigs for both the weekend and the days leading up to it. The Yum Food Festival takes place this Friday & Saturday on Humber Street, so pop down and try some excellent street food, fresh local produce, and delicious beverages! And on Sunday, consider joining the Colour Fun colour run in East Park! For the rest of the week, we have music gigs, theatre shows, activity days and more, so have a browse!

24-year-old twins Brandon and Ashley Watson are The Ocelots. Formerly based in Ireland, now in Leipzig, Germany, the brothers have crafted their songwriting and musical experience together to produce a forceful blend of rich harmonies and bare, raw acoustic folk. Their music perfectly embodies the breezy effortlessness of early Bob Dylan, and Simon & Garfunkel.

Every Thursday we have entertainers in-store, from face painters to balloon modelling, a chance to help Ele the Elephant raise funds for Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, and animal handling with Creature Ark! On Thursday we’re offering face painting from 11.30am – 3.30pm in-store.

Paw Patrol: Race To The Rescue

PAW Patrol – Race to the Rescue will visit the Bonus Arena for three shows.
The series focuses on a young boy named Ryder who leads a crew of search and rescue dogs that call themselves the PAW Patrol. They work together on missions to protect the shoreside community of Adventure Bay. Each dog has a specific set of skills based on emergency services professions, such as a firefighter, a police officer, and an aviation pilot.
Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma and Skye will join Ryder when the show is brought to life on the stage this summer!

On what would have been Larkin’s 100th birthday, writer and broadcaster Matthew Sweet steers us through an afternoon in the city that both he, and Larkin, sometimes called home.
Imtiaz Dharker shares her newly commissioned poem on Larkin, JoinedUp Dance Company performs a mixed-media contemporary dance piece, Wes Finch sets Larkin’s words to music, The Broken Orchestra and Vicky Foster tell stories of people Larkin might meet if he walked Hull streets today.
