Freedom Fest is in full swing this week in Hull, and we’ve mixed a few of its notable events into this week’s top picks. Roadhouse Acoustic is every Wednesday from 8 pm with host Mark Rowland and a mixture of featured acts & open mic spots.

To grab an open mic set just come on down with your instrument from 8 pm, or if you fancy some of the excellent food at the bar come in earlier and give yourself a treat.

This week’s featured guest is one of our favourite local sing/songwriters, Amy Bell, who is now starting to receive the recognition she deserves with gigs at The Adelphi and other local venues & nights.

National Cinema Day at Cineworld

Big Bus Day 2022

A live performance and screening of the acclaimed film  Arcadia  by BAFTA-winning director Paul Wright.
Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) bring the captivating film and their critically acclaimed soundtrack to life with a specially curated 9-piece band, featuring Adrian and Will, together with folk singer Marry Waterson and a line-up of exceptional musicians and singers.
