The best events around Hull & East Yorkshire this week | 7 – 13 September 2022

Hull is still bustling with activity towards the end of Summer, with this week packed with events and festivals. Despite the unfortunate cancellation of the much-loved Rockin’ The Bowl festival, there are plenty more events to attend, such as Hull’s Folk & Maritime Festival, Hull’s Old Town Festival, and the nationwide Heritage Open Days festival. Plus live theatre returns in Bat Out Of Hell and The Chicago Blues Brothers from Hull Theatres. For our music lovers, smaller events such as Decibels for Dystrophy 2022 will help fill the gap, and there are many more activities available too!

Urinetown

Tue 6 – Sat 10 September @ Hull Truck Theatre

Hessle Theatre Company are BACK at Hull Truck Theatre with the hilarious and insane URINETOWN the Musical.

If you’ve ever been desperate to ‘spend a penny’, spare a thought for the poor souls who have to pay for the privilege to pee.

In a world that has faced a 20 year drought, private toilets are banned and the population is forced to answer the call of nature in public conveniences. But that comes at a stiff price, and peeing in bushes comes with dire consequences.
