I have it on good authority that Mr Claus is gearing up for his busiest Christmas yet, and in order to prepare appropriately he is currently doing the rounds in Hull and East Yorkshire! Happily, many of our fantastic local businesses are giving him a place to stay as he hops back and forth between here and the North Pole, so if you want to see Saint Nick you are bang in luck!

North Point Shopping Centre, Bransholme

24th November to 24th December.

Merrily, you will have the chance to meet Father Christmas for free this year courtesy of the Christmas cheerers at North Point Shopping Centre who have invited Santa and his Elves to Bransholme. Gladly, every child will have the chance to meet Santa where they shall receive a gift that they can take home with them!

Princes Quay, Hull

5th November to 24th December.

Being an out-of-towner, I have never been to Princes Quay Santa’s grotto, although I have heard that it is often the place to be during the Christmas period. Therefore, I write, happily, that it looks like there will be another grotto in Princes Quay this year called Santa’s Enchanted Grotto, although, sadly, I cannot say much more as there is little in the way of event information; about that end, I urge you to keep your mince pies peeled!

King George Dock, P&O Ferries, Hull

3rd, 4th, 17th, and 18th December.

To everyone in the North Pole’s delight, P&O Ferries are giving Rudolph and the gang a well-earned rest in the build-up to Christmas as they are bringing Santa Claus to town in style on board one of their luxurious ferries! Here, join Santa and his elves on board for a day full of family festive fun; there will be a range of activities and food on offer to prepare everyone for a meeting with the Big Man himself.

19th December to 23rd December, 5:30 to 19:00.

Have you ever wanted to have tea with Father Christmas? Happily, if your answer is yes, Coletta and Tyson Garden Centre have answered your Christmas wishes as they will be offering the chance to meet Santa in their Old Glasshouse Cafe alongside a suite of festive activities and a feast fit for the five thousand!

Highfield House, Driffield

21st December.

Discover the magic of Christmas at Highfield House where you will be welcomed by Mrs Claus who along with her pesky elf Wilf will put on an extravaganza of fun games, singalongs, and mischief in the Great Hall before offering you the chance to meet the Big Man!

Sledmere House, Sledmere

26th and 27th November, 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, and 19th to 23rd December, 10:00 to 16:30.

Sledmere House is pulling out all the stops to put on a magical Christmas experience for all the family this year. Expect generous helpings of festive cheer and Elfish magic alongside exhilarating sleigh rides and an awe-inspiring Christmas village which you can explore at your own pace. Although, all of this will surely pale in comparison to the chance to meet Santa himself and the VIP elf store where you shall be able to pick a present of your choosing!
