This weekend, Albert Avenue Pools & Fitness is celebrating one year since it reopened its doors to the public, following an extensive refurbishment. In the past 12 months, the centre has recorded an impressive 155,000 visits, establishing itself as a significant leisure destination in Hull.
The outdoor lido, a key feature of the facility, has attracted over 42,000 visitors in the past year, making it a popular choice for swimmers of all ages. The gym, equipped with modern fitness equipment, has also seen substantial use, with over 45,000 visits recorded. Indoor pools at the centre have hosted more than 28,000 visitors, underlining the venue’s popularity for swimming and fitness.
In addition to swimming and gym facilities, Albert Avenue has offered a diverse range of fitness classes, with over 9,000 class attendances. The centre’s swim lesson programme has also been highly utilised, with over 11,000 attendances, demonstrating its role in supporting the development of swimming skills within the community. Other activities and events at the centre have drawn in over 20,000 visitors, highlighting the venue’s broad appeal.

To mark this milestone, Albert Avenue is offering a special prize draw for visitors over the Bank Holiday weekend.
