Following its extensive multi-million pound refurbishment, which saw the reopening of its outdoor lido in August 2023, Albert Avenue Pools and Fitness is now making a splash with a special offering for the New Year. The centre is not only hosting unique Cold Water Swim sessions on New Year’s Eve and Day but also provides an alternative with its much-warmer indoor pool available on selected days during the holidays.
The outdoor lido, which typically operates from May to September with its waters heated to an inviting 28 degrees Celsius, but after multiple requests from members, it’s embracing the winter chill this year.
The centre will hold two cold water swim sessions on both December 31st and January 1st, offering a refreshing way to conclude 2023 or kickstart 2024. These sessions, which must be booked online, are scheduled from 10:00am to 10:45am and 10:45am to 11:00am on New Year’s Eve, and from 9:30am to 10:15am and 10:15am to 11:00am on New Year’s Day.
For those who prefer a warmer swimming experience, the indoor pool remains open during the Christmas holidays. Visitors are encouraged to check the official Live It Hull website for specific session times and availability.
Alongside other Hull Leisure Centres, Albert Avenue Pools and Fitness is currently offering an exceptional deal for new members. People can join for FREE and enjoy complimentary access to the gym, over 70 fitness classes per week, and swimming facilities until January 31st, with payments starting only from February.
