Essential works to improve Hull’s infrastructure continues this week.
A breakdown of planned works taking place across the city has been detailed below, including future works, so motorists can plan their journeys in advance.
The current works are being undertaken by a number of organisations in addition to Hull City Council, including Highways England and Northern Gas Networks, with scheduled works from Yorkshire Water.
The works are coordinated across the network to avoid pinch points, however the works currently taking place are essential.
Councillor Dean Kirk, portfolio holder for transportation, roads, highways and flood prevention, said: “As we approach the summer holidays we understand traffic will be lighter on the roads, and hope that there will be significantly less pressure on our transport network.
“We understand that roadworks can be frustrating for motorists, however these works are essential if we are to improve the city’s infrastructure for better and safer journeys in the future. We apologise for any inconvenience to drivers in the meantime.”
Motorists are advised to plan their journey before travelling using One.Network, and to keep up-to-date with Stoneferry Corridor works download the Hello Travaux app on the App Store on Google Play.
Residents are also reminded to take part in a transport survey, designed to understand the concerns, barriers and opportunities to improve transport in the city.
