This Hull mum has turned her maternity leave into a thriving beauty brand – and now she’s gone one step further by opening her very own tanning salon.
Bali Bronze began two years ago when owner Marnie was on maternity leave with her eldest son. With a dream of building something to help secure her two boys’ future, she started small at home, creating her own range of 5-star-rated tanning creams, accelerators, and more. Word quickly spread, and before long her products were a hit not just in Hull, but across the UK and beyond.
Riding the wave of that success, Marnie decided to take on her biggest challenge yet – opening a tanning salon. It wasn’t a small job either. She began the full renovation when her youngest was just four months old, and eight months later, the Bali Bronze Tanning Salon officially opened its doors.
Inside, customers will find both stand-up and lie-down hybrid beds with UV and collagen boost tubes for skin rejuvenation, all fully air-conditioned and complete with Bluetooth so you can play your own music. Naturally, all of Marnie’s Bali Bronze products are available too. The salon has also been designed as a one-stop beauty hub, with rooms for lashes, brows, facials, aesthetics, nails, hair extensions, and makeup – making it easy to get everything done under one roof.
Bali Bronze Tanning Salon is based at 173 Chanterlands Ave, Hull HU5 3TL, and is open from 9am six days a week and 10am Sundays, with late-night tanning available until 9pm on weekdays.
