A few weeks ago we covered some of the most exciting musicians coming to Hull and the local area this Spring, now it’s the comedians’ time in the spotlight!
Hull is lucky enough to have an outstanding collection of entertainment venues, including the Hull Bonus Arena, Hull City Hall, Hull New Theatre and Humber Street’s Social- just to name a few. Given the amount of fantastic local venues, it’s little surprise that some of the nation’s biggest comedians are coming to Hull this Spring!
With this in mind then, here is a rundown of the big name comedians coming to Hull this Spring.

Dara O Briain- ‘So Where Were We’: Saturday 6 May 2023

Having had a well-earned break from touring, Dara O Briain is back with a fantastic new show entitled: ‘So Where Were We.’
Containing everything from one-liners and stories to nail biting audience messing, this is sure to be an unmissable event!

Happy Hour LIVE: May 3 2023

Coming to Hull City Hall this Spring is Happy Hour LIVE, Jackmate’s award-winning and unmissable podcast, live on stage!

LOL Comedy Club: 19 May 2023 and June 16 2023

One of Hull’s finest comedy clubs is returning in a big way to Hull City Hall this Spring!
With performances taking place on the 19th of May and the 16th of June- this is one to watch for any local in search of some fantastic comedy.
Featuring comedians off shows such as Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, this is sure to be an impressive and popular local event, and is not to be missed!
Tom Allen: Completely: May 26th to May 27th 2023

Tom Allen is one of Britain’s most popular and beloved comedians, and for good reason!
As well as being renowned for his acerbic wit, riotous storytelling and eye for irony, Tom Allen is also the host of shows such as; ‘The Apprentice: You’re Fired’ and ‘Cooking With The Stars’.
His new show, ‘Completely’, is coming to Hull City Hall this May, and is already receiving very complimentary reviews from both comedians and press- this is a must for any local comedy fan!
Frankie Boyle: Lap Of Shame: June 12 2023

Equally beloved is Frankie Boyle, who is coming to Hull City Hall this June with his new show ‘Lap of Shame’.
Well known for his controversial and occasionally pessimistic sense of humour, ‘Lap of Shame’ is Edinburgh Fringe tried and tested, and so is sure to be an entertaining, immersive and, most importantly, hilarious night out!

Amy Gledhill: ‘The Girl Before The Girl You Marry’: May 27 2023
