Hull’s first Chopstix has officially opened its doors in the city centre – and if you’re a fan of fresh, fast noodle and rice boxes, you’re in for a treat.
Chopstix began in London back in 2002 and has grown into one of the UK’s biggest quick‑service pan‑Asian chains, now with over 100 branches nationwide. They’re known for letting you build your own box just how you like it – and now you can get it right here in Hull.
The new branch opened on Monday on King Edward Street, right next to McDonald’s. Ordering is simple – just use the self‑service kiosks, pick up your food from the counter, and if you fancy a drink, you can grab a cup for bottomless refills. You can even add flavour shots to make your drink exactly how you want it.
When we popped in, we tried two create‑your‑own boxes with a mix of toppings, including caramel chicken, salt and pepper chicken, and the plant‑based no‑beef teriyaki. You can boost the flavour even more with sweet, savoury, or spicy extras. On the side, we had crispy vegetable gyoza, and for dessert, we couldn’t resist the apple pie spring rolls with a rich caramel dip – definitely worth saving room for.
There’s a good range of veggie options too, like soy‑mazing chicken and salt and pepper potatoes, so there’s something for everyone.
While we’re always big supporters of Hull’s independents, big names like Chopstix can help draw more people into the city centre – and this is a tasty new addition we’re happy to see.
You can find Chopstix at 29-31 King Edward St, Hull HU1 3RL, and it’s open every day from 10am to 10:30pm. You can find their website here!
