3 Must-Try Food And Fun Spots In Hull City Centre

Hull City Centre has no shortage of great places to eat and things to do, but these three stand out if you’re looking for a mix of flavour, fun, and something a little different.

First up is Trinity Market, a historic Grade II-listed indoor market that’s been around since 1904. Every Thursday night it comes alive with Trinity Live, a free live music event running from 6pm to 9pm. Local artists take to the stage, street food stalls stay open late, and there’s a pop-up bar from Crown & Cushion pouring craft beers, Guinness and more. It’s a brilliant midweek night out – great atmosphere, good food, and no stress.

You can find Trinity Market at Trinity House Ln Trinity Indoor Market, Hull HU1 2JH, and more info on their website here.

Next is Slice & Social, found inside BrewDog at Princes Quay. It’s a solid go-to for anyone after a relaxed drink, a bite to eat, or a bit of fun with mates. Their 16-inch New York-style pizzas are available by the slice, quarter, half, or whole, with highlights like the fiery ’Nduja and Hull’s own Chip Spice Slice. Beyond the food, there’s a full gaming zone with pool tables, shuffleboard, retro consoles, arcade machines, and even a terrace overlooking the water for when you want to take things slow with a pint.

You can find Slice and Social in Brewdog at Princes Quay, at 30G Princes Dock St, Hull HU1 2PQ and more info on their instagram here.

Finally, there’s Patisserie House on Princes Dock Street in the Old Town. Here, award-winning pastry chef Steven Lodge, a former UK WorldSkills competitor and Michelin-trained professional, runs chocolate-making workshops that are a real treat. For around £30 a head, you’ll learn how to temper, mould, fill and decorate your own chocolates before leaving with a box of your handmade creations. Vegan and dairy-free options are also available, so no one misses out.

You’ll find Patisserie House at 17 Princes Dock St, Hull HU1 2LP, and more info on their website here.
