A stylish new addition to Hull’s coffee scene has arrived with the opening of Daze Coffee House in the city’s brand-new Monocle building.
Bright, modern, and filled with natural light from huge windows, Daze has a relaxed yet refined feel. The sleek counter is lined with tempting bakes, while the carefully chosen decor and comfortable seating make it the perfect spot to unwind.
Their coffee is crafted using locally roasted beans from The Blending Room, served in beautiful Kruve glass cups from Canada and paired with custom wooden trays made by local artisans – a detail that makes the experience feel extra special.
The food offering is just as appealing, with pastries and cakes from some of Hull’s best bakers alongside fresh toasties, vibrant salads, breakfast bowls and more. On our visit, we couldn’t resist trying the Lavender Matcha Cloud, which was every bit as good as it looked. We also sampled the Pink Chai Latte with sweet beetroot and ginger, the rich and earthy Golden Chai Latte, and the Mango & Coconut Matcha Latte made with homemade purée – all bursting with flavour and beautifully presented.
For food, the frozen açaí berry bowl and granola yoghurt bowl both delivered on freshness and comfort, while the carrot cake and double chocolate fudge cake tasted as good as they looked. Combined with the calm buzz of the space and the view of the world passing by through those huge windows, it’s the kind of place you want to linger in.
And this is only the beginning – Daze has plans to expand its menu, introduce signature cocktails, and even serve Czech beer on tap in the near future.
