This fun new spot is making a splash for dogs and their humans alike – and it’s right here in Hull.
Dunkin’ Doggies is the city’s first dedicated dog swimming pool, and it’s the result of a proper hands-on project from local couple James and Rhiannon. The idea first came to them in 2024 after visiting a friend in Manchester who had something similar. They couldn’t believe Hull didn’t have one – so they built it themselves from scratch, with help from family and friends.
Since opening in June, they’ve had over 200 bookings already – and it’s easy to see why. Each 30-minute session is totally private, suitable for up to three dogs, and yes – owners can get involved too. There are waders on hand if you want to hop in, and loads of toys for playtime.
The pool is heated to a cosy 30 degrees and open year-round, ideal whether your dog’s nervous around water, needs gentle rehab, or just loves diving in with a splash. There’s even a warm shower and drying area so you don’t end up with a soggy back seat. All breeds are welcome, including XL Bullies – a gap they spotted early on and made sure to accommodate.
Dunkin’ Doggies is tucked away at Unit 18k, Lake Enterprise Park on Bergen Way in Hull (HU7 0YQ). They’re open Wednesday to Saturday from 9:30am to 6:30pm, with evening sessions running a bit later on Wednesdays – and closed from Sunday to Tuesday.
