Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity (YBTC) is pleased to be expanding its support to offer a drop-in group for people affected by a brain tumour in Hull.
The Drop-In Café will take place at Trinity Room at Hull Minster on the first Tuesday of the month, starting on Tuesday 2nd May. Patients and their families are invited to come along any time between 10.30am and 12.30pm for some friendly, informal support.
Led by a member of the charity’s support team, the drop-in is a chance to chat, ask questions, enjoy refreshments and meet others in a similar situation.
YBTC first launched its drop-in cafés in 2021 and since then has expanded to seven locations across Yorkshire, including York, Leeds and Sheffield.
One attendee said: “The drop-in feels like a real safe space where I can just be me. I find it really helpful to talk to people who have shared experiences. I am so pleased that I decided to give it a chance and I plan to make them a regular part of what I do from now on.”
