If you’ve not heard of padel yet, it’s a fast-growing racket sport that’s fun, easy to pick up, and seriously addictive. And now, thanks to East Coast Padel, you can give it a go right here in Hull without breaking the bank.
Based at Active+ on Harpings Road, this new padel club has been set up by four local founders who wanted to make the sport more affordable and accessible to everyone. They’ve created a warm, welcoming space where anyone can turn up, pick up a racket, and get involved – no experience needed.
There are two covered doubles courts and one singles court, so you can play whatever the weather. You can hire or buy rackets on-site (from the Little Monkeys entrance), and balls are available to buy – or bring your own if you’ve got some. There’s also a café and bar on site for post-game catch-ups.
From social sessions and beginner coaching to fun events on and off the court, it’s a brilliant place to meet new people, stay active, and just have a laugh.
