East Yorkshire Buses, a local bus operator, is delighted to announce the summer 2023 return of its Moors Explorer ME1 service, featuring an exciting new route. The service, operational on Sundays and bank holidays until August 28, will travel from Hessle, Hull & Beverley to destinations like Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley, and the Flamingo Land Resort. This promises something for everyone, from tranquil walks in the Moors to thrilling theme park and zoo adventures.
For an action-packed Sunday, passengers can board at several stops, including Hessle Square (08:30), Willerby Square (08:42), Hull Interchange (09:00), Hull University (09:11), Cottingham Green (09:18), and Beverley Bus Station (09:35). Moreover, the service allows for a few hours of exploration in Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, and Helmsley before the final bus home.
Passengers travelling from Bainton onwards can purchase a Moors Rover ticket at £9.80 per adult, £2.50 per child, or £15.00 for a family of up to four people. Tickets can be bought onboard with cash or contactless payment. Alternatively, Go Anywhere tickets are available at £14.85 for adults and £7.70 for children through the East Yorkshire Buses app, granting unlimited travel across the network all day. Discounted family and concessionary tickets are also available.
Stuart Fillingham, Head of Commercial at East Yorkshire, expressed his excitement: “We’ve tweaked this service this year to help families in Hull and the East Riding make the most of their summer. From fabulous upper-deck views to a day out at Flamingo Land, there’s plenty to enjoy.”
