The Christmas Tractor Run is an annual community fundraising event organised by Rural Charity Fundraising, bringing together decorated tractors, local drivers and thousands of spectators for a spectacular festive convoy across East Yorkshire. Each tractor is illuminated with Christmas lights and themed decorations, creating a moving display of colour and celebration as the convoy passes through towns and villages along the route.
Last year’s event attracted more than 50 tractors and saw huge crowds lining the roads, making it one of the most popular community events in the region. For 2025, the Tractor Run is set to be even bigger, with an extended route taking in Market Weighton, North/South Cliffe, North Cave, Ellerker, Elloughton, Welton, Walkington, Beverley, Cherry Burton and North Newbald.
We also have a Tractor Tracker, a live GPS system that allows spectators to follow the convoy in real time. The tracker helps families plan where and when to watch and was a huge success at previous runs.
The run raises money for two meaningful causes: St James’s Hospital Melanoma Department (in memory of Lucy Guiry) and Yorkshire Air Ambulance (in memory of Jessica Hildreth).
The Christmas Tractor Run takes place on Saturday 20th December 2025, with driver registration now open.
