Thinking about a career change, a fresh challenge, or simply a new way to use your hard-earned skills?
Hull College is opening its doors for a special Recruitment Evening at our Canon Street campus. And if you’ve ever thought about moving into teaching or a support role, this is your moment to explore what’s possible.
Across our technical areas, including Motor Vehicle, Paint & Body, Welding, Engineering, Electrical and more, we’re looking for experienced, skilled, and passionate industry professionals who want to give something back. You don’t need teaching experience. You don’t need to know how to run a classroom. You just need the specialist knowledge you’ve up built over years in your field… and the willingness to help shape the next generation coming through the trades.
This event is perfect for people who are:
- Thinking about a change of direction
- Looking for a better work–life balance
- Considering stepping away from industry
- Interested in part-time, flexible or support roles
- Curious about what teaching in FE actually involves
During the evening, you’ll get a clear look at how to transition from industry into education, which roles are available right now, and what support, training, and qualifications Hull College can offer you along the way. You’ll also be able to speak directly with staff from our curriculum teams, ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask, and get an honest insight into what life is like working in Further Education.
If you’ve ever thought “I’d love to pass on what I know,” or “I need a job that works better for me and my family,” this event is made for you. Teaching and support roles in Further Education are incredibly rewarding. You get to keep one foot in the industry you love while helping people gain the skills to build their future; not to mention generous pay, long holidays, and a great pension scheme.
Places for the event are free but limited.
