Everything you need to know about this year’s Tribfest

Tribfest, the world’s biggest tribute band festival, is back for 2024, promising another unforgettable weekend of music, comedy, and family fun! Taking place from Thursday, 15th August to Sunday, 18th August at the stunning Sledmere House in East Yorkshire, this year’s event is set to be the highlight of the summer for music lovers of all ages.

With over 50 top tribute bands performing, the festival promises a diverse lineup that spans multiple genres and generations. Whether you’re a fan of rock, pop, indie, or classic hits, there’s something for everyone, ensuring that attendees can sing along to their favourite tracks.

Tribfest campsites open on Thursday at 10am for early entry, with access until 9pm. Early entry costs £25. From Friday to Saturday, gates open at 8am, and you must arrive by 9pm for entry. On Sunday, the gates open at 10am, with a final entry time of 7pm. All campers must leave by 12pm on Monday. Late arrivals will not be admitted after the stated closing times each day.

Tribfest offers a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable experience too, so you can expect fantastically clean toilets, hot showers, electrical hook-ups, first aid services, top-notch security, and friendly staff. Unlike many larger festivals, Tribfest maintains a manageable capacity of 5,000, so it never feels overcrowded, making it easier to enjoy the event and reconnect with friends.

Main Stage

The Main Stage at Tribfest 2024 is the heart of the festival, featuring top tribute acts to some of the biggest names in music history. Big Top Stage

Acoustic Marquee

The Acoustic Marquee offers a more relaxed and intimate setting within Tribfest. This is the place to be for those who appreciate the artistry of acoustic music and want to discover emerging talents. The marquee is a great spot to unwind and soak in the festival’s diverse musical offerings in a more laid-back atmosphere.

Unsigned Marquee

The Unsigned Marquee is all about discovering fresh talent. This stage features up-and-coming bands and solo artists who are not yet signed to major labels. It’s an exciting opportunity for festival-goers to experience new music and potentially witness the next big act before they hit the mainstream. With genres ranging from rock to indie and beyond, this stage offers a platform for raw and original performances that are sure to impress.

Laughing Bull Comedy Marquee

The Laughing Bull Comedy Marquee is the go-to place for a good laugh at Tribfest. Kidzone

The Kidzone is a family-friendly area dedicated to keeping younger festival-goers entertained throughout the weekend. With a range of activities including arts and crafts, face painting, magic shows, and interactive performances, it’s a haven for children at the festival. The Kidzone ensures that Tribfest is an enjoyable experience for all ages, allowing parents to relax while their kids engage in fun and creative activities.

Bono’s Music Barn

Bono’s Music Barn provides a unique and interactive nightlife experience at Tribfest. Festival-goers can choose from multiple music channels to dance along to, ensuring there’s something for everyone. It’s a fun way to close out the evenings, as participants enjoy dancing to their chosen tunes in a lively, communal setting without the need for loudspeakers, making it an unforgettable part of the festival experience.

Freedom Road Under 20s Stage

The Freedom Road Under 20s Stage is a platform for young, aspiring musicians to showcase their talents. This stage is dedicated to performers under 20, giving them the opportunity to play in front of a live audience and gain valuable experience. It’s an inspiring part of the festival where the next generation of artists can shine, offering festival-goers a chance to support and enjoy the raw energy of youthful talent.

For disabled attendees:

  • Disabled Camping & Parking: A designated camping area close to the main entrance (<100 meters) is available, equipped with accessible toilets and near both event control and the medical tent. To reserve a spot, email info@edentertainments.co.uk. Disabled parking is provided in the main car park, approximately 400 meters from the camping area; a registered Disability Parking Car Pass is required.
  • Carer Tickets: Disabled guests can obtain a half-price ticket for a carer (£65 plus a £5 refundable eco deposit). After purchasing the standard ticket, email info@edentertainments.co.uk with your order number and proof of disability (DLA letter, blue badge details, and a GP’s letter). Applications must be submitted at least four weeks before the festival.
  • Wheelchair Access & Assistance Dogs: Due to the terrain, some areas may be challenging for wheelchair users, especially in adverse weather conditions. Assistance dogs are permitted on-site; please notify the organizers in advance.
  • Strobe Lighting & Medical Services: Strobe lighting will be used intermittently without prior warning. A First Aid tent is located near event control in the Main Arena, where medication requiring refrigeration can be stored upon prior arrangement.

Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead, considering the site’s terrain and facilities, to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable festival experience.

Tickets for Tribfest 2024 are on sale now, and include free camping and parking for the weekend. With various accommodation options, from basic camping to glamping, there’s something to suit everyone’s needs. Given the festival’s popularity, it’s advisable to secure your tickets early.

Whether you’re a die-hard music fan, a comedy lover, or just looking for a great weekend out with the family, Tribfest 2024 has something for everyone. It has earned accolades over the years, including the Best Event at the 2023 REYTA Awards and Best Entertainment and Leisure Venue in East Yorkshire from 2018 to 2020.
