The most affordable cities in the UK for a roast dinner

​​In Hull, a roast costs around £16.76 on average, making it an affordable choice for a hearty Sunday lunch. Top spots for locals include The Nancy Inn, known for its welcoming atmosphere and classic pub roasts, and The Beech Tree, which has earned over 1,077 Google reviews for its generous portions and excellent value. Both pubs offer a cosy setting and traditional British flavours, making them perfect for enjoying a satisfying roast without overspending.

Sunderland tops the ranking as the most affordable UK city for a roast dinner, with an average cost of just £12.48. Locals can enjoy a hearty Sunday lunch at pubs like The Dun Cow, known for generous portions and a cosy, traditional atmosphere.

Ranking second, Swansea serves up a classic roast for around £15.23. A standout option is The Village Inn, a highly rated local favourite where diners can enjoy freshly prepared roasts, friendly service, and a warm, welcoming coastal atmosphere, perfect for supporting local businesses while indulging in a Sunday treat.
