A community project in Hull is stepping up this Christmas to support people who are struggling the most. Calvary International Christian Centre (CICC) has launched Blessed of the Father Hull, a new initiative created in response to rising need across the city. With Hull now ranked the eighth most deprived local authority in England and child poverty at record levels, the project aims to bring practical help, hope, and a sense of dignity to those who need it most.
The main event will take place on 13 December 2025 in Hull city centre, where the team will be out in the community with a mobile pharmacy offering free flu jabs, blood pressure checks, and other basic health services to people who may not have easy access to them. They’re also collecting donations of warm clothing and non-perishable food to help vulnerable families and individuals get through the winter.
To make it easier for people to contribute, flyers will be posted across the city and collection bins will be available at the REEL Cinema in St. Stephen’s for anyone who wants to drop off items.
The team behind Blessed of the Father Hull is inviting the community to get involved—whether by donating, volunteering, or simply helping spread the word so support reaches the people who need it most.
