Everything you need to know about Hull College enrolment this August

With September fast approaching, the countdown to college life is officially on! For anyone who has applied to study a course at Hull College this September, it’s almost time to take the next big step – to enrol on your course.

What is enrolment?

Enrolment is the final step in confirming your place at Hull College. It’s your way of saying: “Yes, I’m in!” It’s also how the college confirm all your details, make sure you’re on the right course, and get everything sorted before you arrive in September.

Enrolment takes place every year and is split into two parts: an online form, followed by an in-person visit to the college’s Queen’s Gardens campus in the city centre. Until you’ve completed both parts, your place isn’t guaranteed – so it’s really important to get everything done.

Online enrolment

First up is the online bit. You’ll get an email from the college with a link to your personal online enrolment form. This is where you check your details, confirm your course, and upload any essential information. It only takes about ten minutes – just make sure you complete it as soon as you can. Keep an eye on your inbox (and check your spam folder just in case!). You can also find more information here.

In-Person enrolment

Once your online form is done, you’ll be ready to come into college for your in-person appointment. This will take place in the Horncastle Building between Tuesday 19th August and Friday 29th August, and you’ll be given a specific date and time to attend. This step is just as important – so don’t miss it!

If you can’t make your scheduled slot for whatever reason, get in touch with the college as soon as possible to rearrange. Call 01482 329943 or email admissions@hull-college.ac.uk to reschedule.

What to bring with you?

  • Proof of your identity (passport, birth certificate, or driving licence)
  • Your exam results (GCSEs or equivalent)
  • Any other documents mentioned in your invite email
  • And of course, a smile!

What to expect

This is where things start to feel real! At your appointment, tutors will check your details, confirm your course, issue you with your ID card, and give you your timetable. You’ll also have the chance to chat with support staff about travel passes or bursaries.

By the end, you’ll be fully enrolled and ready to start your new course in September.
