Hull is quickly becoming the unofficial vegan capital of Yorkshire with new cruelty-free eateries popping up across the city. It has never been easier to enjoy a fantastic meat-free meal with many restaurants offering a range of amazing vegan/vegetarian options on their menus. However Hull & East Yorkshire has some top of the range dedicated vegan and vegetarian restaurants serving up the tastiest innovations in plant-based culinary.

Doner Summer

13 King Street, Hull, HU1 2JJ

Voted one of Peta’s top 10 vegan kebabs in the UK, Doner Summer provides a 100% vegan offering using top of the line meat substitutes, in-house sauces, fresh salads and traditional locally baked Turkish bread. On the menu is Kebabs, Shawarma, and Fried Chicken, which could confuse most dedicated meat-eaters.

This vegetarian café is one of Hull’s best kept secrets. Located just off Newland Avenue, Zoo Café serves up some of the best vegetarian food on offer in the city. Blondes was the first fully vegan eatery in East Yorkshire and they are the home of award winning vegan ice cream. If you’re fancying a sweet treat, Blondes are the place for you. But their menu doesn’t end there. They also have ‘banging breakfasts’, sandwiches and jackets, loaded sides, and fancy cold drinks.
