A brand new Korean BBQ buffet has just opened on Beverley Road, and it’s already proving a hit with food lovers in Hull.
K-BBQ brings something genuinely different to the city’s food scene, offering an authentic Korean BBQ experience that’s both hands-on and packed with flavour. Inspired by the owners’ visits to Korea Town in London and a trip to Korea itself, the restaurant is the result of a dream to bring the real deal to Hull – and from what we’ve seen, they’ve definitely delivered.
The BBQ grills are built right into your table – you pick your meats from the buffet, cook them how you like, and go back for more whenever you fancy.
We tried spicy marinated chicken, Korean-style galbi beef short ribs, pork belly, and even squid – all bursting with bold, savoury flavours.
There’s a food bar too with bits to eat while you wait for the BBQ to cook, like Korean pancakes (which were delicious and so moreish), Korean-style fried chicken, kimchi and so much more. The sauces were incredible too – especially the homemade Korean sauce, we couldn’t get enough.
When you’re ready to wrap up, they offer desserts too, like cake and fruits – but we tried the bingsu, shaved milk ice with red bean or taro jelly. Creamy, cold, and the perfect finish.
With soju cocktails, Korean beers, and a great variety of food with plenty more we didn’t get to try, K-BBQ is a sociable dining experience that’s made for sharing – and we’re already planning our next visit.
Prices are £33 for adults, with kids from just a tenner for all you can eat. You can find K-BBQ on Beverley Road between Lidl and Domino’s, at 439 Beverly Road, HU5 1NR. It’s open from 4pm to 10pm Monday – Friday, and 12 Noon to 10pm on weekends!
