Kutchenhaus has officially opened its doors on George Street, bringing a fresh, modern kitchen showroom to one of Hull’s most familiar historic buildings.
The space was once home to Browns Books, and anyone who knew it before will be surprised by the transformation. The team has completely redesigned the interior, creating an impressive showroom featuring 11 beautifully built German kitchens. Each display has its own character, showcasing different layouts, colours, finishes and storage ideas to help visitors picture what’s possible in their own home.

The showroom is led by owners Vincent and Alexandrea, supported by their designer Mark. We recently sat down with them to learn more about how they work, and it’s clear how much thought goes into every project. Their consultations are relaxed and genuinely informative, and it’s fascinating to see how they tailor designs to suit rooms of all shapes and sizes.
Kutchenhaus is part of Nobilia, Europe’s largest kitchen manufacturer, which means every kitchen is produced with the precision, engineering and rigorous testing German manufacturing is known for.
Visitors can explore a wide range of ergonomic layouts, integrated technology and clever storage solutions, with finishes and features that can be personalised to match any style. All kitchen furniture also comes with a 10-year warranty for added peace of mind.
Anyone planning a new kitchen can drop into the George Street showroom to browse the displays, pick up a free design brochure or book a free design appointment in-store or online.
You’ll find address, map and opening times on their WhatsOn page here.
