Hull’s epic space-themed play centre just got even better with new play zones & features

If you’ve not been to Little Astronauts in Hull yet, you’re seriously missing out — and if you have, there’s now even more reason to go back.

Tucked away on the top floor of the Prospect Centre (in the old food court), this incredible space-themed play centre has had a big upgrade, and it’s packed with fun for every age.

Little Astronauts was already a hit with its CCTV viewing area for parents, The Multiverse interactive games wall with over 100 games, and loads of zones to climb, explore, and burn off energy. But now there’s even more to discover.

Their brand-new AstroStation feels like stepping inside a giant science machine. The kids were absolutely glued to the 5-metre ball wall with air jets, pulleys and spinning wheels — plus there’s a colourful peg wall for creative play, a safe baby zone, and the hilarious Ball Boggler that shoots balls into the air for pure chaos and laughter.

The AstroWall was another highlight — a huge wall of soft pins that captures your body shape in 3D!

The Under 4s zone has had an upgrade too — the 10-metre ball pool with over 20,000 balls now has this awesome ball blaster, which everyone can team up to fill as full as possible before it drops all the balls down again!

We also finally tried the food this time — and honestly, it blew us away. Freshly made, full of flavour and way better than your average soft play offering. Think honey chilli chicken, BBQ pulled pork hotdogs, loaded fries, cheesy garlic bread, pepperoni overload pizza, and even a honey chicken, walnut and spring onion salad. It’s proper food that adults will actually enjoy too.

And this summer, they’re going even bigger with two unmissable events:

Tiny Techno – 19th July
Kickstart the school holidays in style with this all-ages family rave! There’s a live DJ mixing kids’ favourites and Ibiza classics, plus confetti cannons, smoke machines and festival-style lighting to turn the dancefloor into a proper party. Book tickets here.

The Little Astronauts Experience – 2nd August
This full-day event turns your little ones into real space explorers, complete with astronaut dress-up costumes, an alien hunt, cosmic challenges, a mission briefing and a meet-and-greet with Cosmo the space mascot. It’s an immersive space adventure they won’t forget. Book tickets here.

Little Astronauts is open Monday to Friday 9:30am–6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-6:00pm and Sunday 10:30am–4:30pm.
