Local care bed provider Opera Beds is excited to announce the “Wish Upon a Star” bedtime activity book, a Hull-themed creation to raise £60,000 for an MRI distraction device at Hull Royal Infirmary.
At the heart of the initiative is the WISHH charity (Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals) dedicated to enriching patient experiences at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital through improved facilities, equipment, and services.
The new hospital equipment will help provide a more comfortable experience for children who require an MRI scan. These scans can be a daunting experience for anyone, especially for children.

“Local charities like WISHH depend on fundraising and donations and we’re delighted to support their latest appeal”, said Kenny Lant, Commercial Director at Opera Beds. “Our hull-inspired book is a perfect tool for children of all ages to enjoy whilst giving back to the local community.” He added.
Team members from Opera Beds will be hosting an official book and funds handover with WISHH at Hull Royal Hospital next month. Not only will this delightful book raise vital funds for the appeal, but it will also serve as a tool to raise awareness within the community.
Each £5 donation gifts a book to a child and supports improving Hull’s hospital facilities. To donate, visit the JustGiving page.
