Hull primary schools are to benefit from the donation of a new book titled The Bad Apple.

Local author, Lynne Hope, has written the book which focuses on the messages to be kind and to be understanding.

The book is aimed at reception and Year 1 aged children, and for teachers to read the book with them and use as a talk piece within their classes to discuss the important topics.

Lynne is donating a book to each of the city’s 71 primary schools at the start of anti-bullying week which runs 15 to 19 November.

Councillor Shane McMurray, Portfolio Holder for children’s services said: “Being kind and being understanding are messages which are absolutely vital for our children and young people. I’d like to thank Lynne for donating the book to our primaries, and for writing such a topical and thought provoking book for our children.”
