NEW American-style Thrift Shop opens in Hull selling affordable fashion, music and art

A new American-style thrift shop, aptly named Thrift Shop, has opened its doors in Hull and is already making waves as the largest thrift store in town.

Situated in the former River Island unit inside Princes Quay, Thrift Shop offers a diverse range of second-hand items, including women’s and men’s clothing, toys, cameras, DVDs, and an impressive collection of over 1,000 records.

The shop was founded by four passionate individuals who share a common goal: to promote an ethical way of keeping items in use. They were driven by a desire to provide fair pricing and make fashion accessible to everyone, especially during times when money is tight.

“With people’s finances stretched, we wanted to create a place where everyone can look good without breaking the bank,” said one of the owners. “There truly is something for all ages here.”

The store hosts regular shopping events where customers can pay by the kilo, allowing them to fill their wardrobes with quality items at bargain prices. These events are a hit among the locals, offering an affordable and sustainable way to shop.

As the summer season approaches, Thrift Shop has stocked up on plenty of festival clothing, ensuring that shoppers can find the perfect outfits for their summer events. From trendy tops to colourful accessories, the shop has everything needed to make a statement at any festival.

In addition to clothing and accessories, Thrift Shop also features artwork from The Yorkshire Print Co. Among the most popular items is the Hull Monopoly print, which has quickly become a favourite among shoppers.

The opening of Thrift Shop is seen as a positive addition to Hull city centre. Its location on Level 2 inside Princes Quay makes it easily accessible for shoppers looking for great deals and unique finds.

We love Thrift Shop and think it’s a fantastic addition to Hull. It’s great to see more options for affordable and sustainable shopping in the city.

Whether you’re looking for stylish clothing, unique accessories, or captivating artwork, Thrift Shop has something for everyone. Be sure to visit them on Level 2 inside Princes Quay to discover your next great find and follow Thrift Shop on Facebook.
