Food lovers in Hull will soon be able to sample a new eatery after Mirha Enterprises received Levelling Up Funding.
The applicant has been granted £58,045 to bring back into use 57 Paragon Street and bring Pepe’s Peri Peri to the city as part of a project totalling £223,250.
The award, from the government’s Levelling Up Funding, will help to fitout the new food offer which will help provide up to eight full-time equivalent jobs, boosting the city centre economy.
The funding will support a full refurbishment, including a new floor, ceiling and shop front installed, kitchen equipment such as fridges and freezers purchased, as well as new cooking and grilling equipment.
Cllr Paul Drake-Davis, Hull City Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, said: “Levelling Up Funding has already helped to regenerate many areas and bring back into use vacant properties.
“The council is pleased to have been able to support another business and therefore further investment into the city centre as Hull continues to buck the national trend as it welcomes another economic boost.”
