We recently discovered a new shop that serves amazing pastries and chocolates in Hull! Tucked away along Princes Dock Street, this new independent bakery and chocolatier is quickly becoming a favourite spot.
The patisserie itself is charming and inviting, with a cosy interior that features rustic décor and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, creating a bright and cheerful environment. There’s also outdoor seating along the dock, perfect for those sunny days.
We couldn’t resist trying some of the homemade treats on offer. We started with a Pistachio Frangipane Tart topped with fresh raspberries and raspberry ganache, and a buttery vegan croissant that was simply divine. The real showstopper was a box of their incredible handcrafted chocolates. The Lemon & Thyme chocolate was our first choice, and it did not disappoint. There are plenty of other creative flavours to try, like Blackcurrant and Dark Chocolate Caramel with Hazelnut.
Patisserie House also offers vegan and gluten-free chocolate bars, including a delicious salted caramel variety. Their menu extends to hot and cold vegan sandwiches and vegan sausage rolls, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
To finish off our visit, we enjoyed a cup of their locally sourced coffee from The Blending Room. The coffee was served in unique cups, each featuring artwork designed by local artists. We also appreciated their commitment to sustainability, with all packaging in the shop being eco-friendly.
We love Patisserie House and think it’s a fantastic addition to Hull city centre. The combination of delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and charming location makes it a must-visit spot. You’ll find Patisserie House on Princes Dock Street. For more information, visit their website and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
