Zizzi

50a, 110 Ferensway, Hull HU2 8LN

Zizzi might be tucked away upstairs in St Stephen’s, but their pizza game is seriously strong. One of our favourites has to be the Sticky Pig – a rich and spicy mix of pulled pork, ’nduja and crispy prosciutto that’s cooked to perfection. It’s full of flavour without being overwhelming, and the balance of sweet and heat makes it stand out from your usual options. Their dough is light with a good bite, and the toppings feel properly thought through – not just piled on for the sake of it.

What’s also worth shouting about is their vegan and gluten-free options. Zizzi’s aubergine ‘meatball’ pizza with jalapeños and a harissa drizzle is one of the best plant-based pizzas we’ve tried in Hull. It’s got a proper kick to it, but still feels fresh and balanced. Whether you’re avoiding gluten, cutting out dairy, or just fancy something different, there’s no sense of compromise here – just well-made, flavour-packed pizzas that cater to everyone.
