Lounge Bar & Grill in Kirk Ella brings a fresh, modern feel to West Hull, taken over and completely rebuilt by the same family behind Newland Steakhouse. They stripped the old unit right back, worked with local trades, and turned it into a relaxed, welcoming spot that’s ideal for everything from a quick lunch to a full evening meal.
The menu leans into quality grills and big flavours, with the tomahawk steak being the headline dish – it’s genuinely impressive when it arrives at the table. The lamb chops are another strong shout, and if you’re in the mood for seafood, the platter with sea bass is a lighter but still proper option. Starters include things like crispy calamari and king prawns, and there are fresher choices too, like the Mediterranean salad with loads of feta.
Desserts range from chocolate fudge cake to a really good salted caramel cheesecake, and the drinks menu covers cocktails, coffees, teas and everything in between. They also run lunch specials, bottomless brunch and have live music every Friday.
