Nova Polish Restaurant on Beverley Road brings Poland-inspired comfort food to Hull, serving hearty, well-cooked dishes in generous portions that regularly surprise first-time visitors.
The restaurant was opened by a husband-and-wife team who’ve lived in Hull for nearly 20 years and now proudly call it home. After years of enjoying food from around the world, they decided to open a high-quality Polish restaurant that showcases traditional Polish dishes in a more modern, accessible way, giving locals the chance to experience Polish cuisine without travelling abroad.
The space itself reflects that personal approach. The interior was designed by the owners, with much of the renovation carried out by them and their friends over three months, creating a relaxed and welcoming setting for diners.
The menu focuses on comforting, familiar flavours, including hand-made dumplings, slow-cooked meats, fresh fish dishes and vegetarian options. Portion sizes are a real highlight, with dishes like the ham shank becoming a standout favourite. Nova also serves classic Polish-inspired desserts, along with coffee and cakes for more casual visits.
There’s outdoor seating at the front, a car park at the rear for easy access, and regular offers available throughout the week.
Whether you’re trying Polish food for the first time or looking for a hearty, relaxed meal out, Nova Polish Restaurant is well worth a visit in Hull.
