Hull’s dockside amphitheatre is set for a packed summer of outdoor shows, family fun, and live performances – and it’s right in the heart of the Fruit Market.
If you’ve never been to Stage @TheDock before, this summer’s the perfect time to change that. It’s one of the city’s most unique venues – an open-air amphitheatre right by the water, surrounded by independent food spots and creative energy.
The 2025 Summer Season is packed with events for all ages. Families can catch outdoor shows like Beauty & The Beast, The Snow Queen, The Frog Prince and Cinderella. For fans of new writing, Fresh Ink brings a two-day playwriting festival from Middle Child.
The Three Inch Fools are back with their hilarious take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the fiery pay-what-you-want comedy Faustus returns with flames, laughs, and a whole lot of chaos.
They’ll round off the season with Freedom Festival, hosting incredible live performances – all totally free to enjoy.

You can even grab a takeaway pizza from Bert’s Pizzaria to enjoy during the show (they’ve got gluten-free options too), or swing by Nibble and Next Door for smoothies, salads, and sweet bakes. With Humber Street just across the road, there’s no shortage of great spots for a drink or bite to eat before or after the show.
Toilets are available at Nibble for anyone attending, and the nearby Fruit Market Multistorey makes parking easy and affordable.
