If you’re after something new and a bit different for your next night out, there’s a brand new bar at Flemingate that’s well worth checking out – and it’s already turning heads.
The Boardroom has just opened its doors in Beverley, and if the name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s from the same team behind the original venue at Hull’s Fruit Market. This new spot brings the same lively energy – with a few extra surprises.
Inside, it’s got a cool industrial-chic vibe with bold colours and modern decor, and there’s loads to get stuck into. Along the walls you’ll find high-tech shuffleboard tables and electronic darts lanes – both super easy to pick up, whether you’re ultra-competitive or just fancy something fun with your mates.
The shuffleboard is proper next-level. It’s the only one of its kind in the area, packed with different game modes and an automatic scoring system – perfect for groups. We couldn’t stop playing.
We broke things up with a few cocktails from the bar (mocktails and 0% drinks are available too), then moved over to the darts. The interactive set-up means you’ve got loads of games to try, plus there are two oches – one standard and one closer-up for beginners. There are even cameras that capture your winning throw and send it straight to your phone.
Food-wise, it’s a treat. We tried the buttermilk chicken tenders with sweet sriracha mayo, crispy fried gherkins, pork belly loaded fries, and a juicy Yorkshire Wagyu cheeseburger – all spot on. If you’re plant-based, you’re not left out either – the vegan mac and cheese, mushroom tacos, and black bean burrito with fresh guac and pico de gallo were all full of flavour.
It’s also family-friendly during the day and dog-friendly too, so whether you’re heading down for a chilled afternoon or a big night out, it’s a proper all-rounder.
You’ll find The Boardroom at Flemingate in Beverley (HU17 0NQ), right next door to Costa – and it’s open now. You can book a time on their website here!
They’re open Wednesday – Sunday: 12pm -11pm.
