The Greek, known for its authentic flavours, has opened its third location in Hull. Situated on Newland Avenue, this brand-new branch is takeaway-only, offering the same delicious flavours and hearty portions we’ve come to love from their sit-down restaurants on Princes Avenue and in Hessle.
We popped by to sample some standout dishes from their menu, starting with the Meze. The Four Cheese Croquettes paired beautifully with a hot honey dip, while the Spanakopita Parcels – spinach and feta in crispy filo pastry – were complemented by a refreshing tzatziki dip. The Halloumi Fries, served golden and topped with spiced yoghurt, pomegranate, and hot honey, were the perfect mix of sweet and savoury.
The takeaway offers nine different Greek Loaded Bowls. We highly recommend the Falafel variant, which comes with oregano fries, Greek pita, fresh salad, and tzatziki.
From the grill, these amazing gyros were a highlight, packed with tender spit-roasted meat, salad, chips, and creamy tzatziki. And the Greek is offering these incredible gyros for £1.99 on Black Friday! Don’t miss out – the deal is only available on Friday 29th November!
Throughout December, The Greek is also adding a mouth-watering festive twist to their menu with a limited edition Turkey Gyros, packed with Turkey Souvlaki, cranberry, tzatziki, stuffing, honey-glazed sprouts, and fries.
This new takeaway adds another fantastic independent option to Newland Avenue, an area already known for its thriving food scene. We love seeing local businesses like The Greek continuing to grow and bringing more variety to Hull.
