A magical Christmas show is heading to Hull City Hall this December, and it’s one you’ll definitely want to get in your diary.
On Sunday, 7 December, the festive classic The Snowman will be screened on the big stage, accompanied by every note of the score performed live by a professional orchestra. Presented by Carrot Productions – the world’s leading performers of The Snowman with live orchestra – the show features some of the UK’s finest musicians.
The programme has plenty more in store, with Prokofiev’s legendary Peter and the Wolf performed alongside a brand-new animated film. Things begin with a lively festive medley created by CBeebies composer Daniel Whibley, guaranteed to get everyone into the Christmas mood. And of course, there’ll be a special appearance from the Snowman himself.

It’s no wonder this production has been highlighted by The Guardian, The Sunday Times and The Telegraph as one of the top family experiences at Christmas. Performances are at 1pm and 3:30pm, and tickets are already selling fast, so be quick!
