One of Hull’s tastiest takeaways is turning heads again this summer – with a load of new menu items that are well worth checking out.
Top Dawgs on Southcoates Lane has built up a loyal following for its proper restaurant-quality scran, all served out of a laid-back takeaway run by two seriously talented chefs. And with a fresh menu update just launched, we couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
The new Dirty Pig pizza is an absolute beast – stacked with pulled pork, chorizo, nduja, hot honey, and pork scratchings. And the chicken, chorizo, nduja pesto and hot honey combo? Scran-tastic doesn’t even cover it.
We also got stuck into their new grilled cheese BBQ Piglet burger (incredible), a spicy Mexican burger with bacon, hunter’s chicken mac & cheese, dirty doner fries, BBQ ribs, hot honey wings, and sriracha wings that definitely brought the heat.
They’ve levelled up the milkshakes too – thicker and creamier thanks to a new machine. Our top picks were the Waffle Lotus and Cookie Dough Kinder.
They now deliver within a 3.5 mile radius, and for the night owls, there’s even a new Midnight Munchies menu from 11pm to 2am every Friday and Saturday (pizzas excluded – but plenty of other good stuff still available).
You’ll find Top Dawgs at 294 Southcoates Lane, Hull HU9 3AP. They’re open every day from 4pm to 10pm, with an extra lunchtime slot on Fridays from 12 to 2pm – ideal whether you’re grabbing a midweek treat or lining up something seriously tasty for the weekend.
