Dave Gorman – Powerpoint To The People

Thursday 3 Nov @ Hull City Hall

Dave Gorman, the man behind Dave TV’s hit show Modern Life Is Goodish as well as Are You Dave Gorman? and Googlewhack Adventure, is back with a brand new live show, Powerpoint To The People

The ‘high priest of the comedy Powerpoint talk’ (The Times) is touring again – as much as anything to demonstrate that a PowerPoint presentation doesn’t have to involve a man in a grey suit standing behind a lectern and saying ‘next slide please’. We’ve all had enough of that, so let’s put it all behind us and never speak of it again – there are far more important things to analyse. Well… they’re more important in Dave’s head anyway.

The Elvis Years

The Elvis Years is an outstanding musical production which brings to the stage the incredible and compelling story of the ‘king of rock and roll’ – Elvis Presley.

Join Mario Kombou (Jailhouse Rock, West End), an all-star band and award-winning singers for an unforgettable journey through over 50 golden greats spanning over three decades – from the early Sun Records hits to the majestic Las Vegas performances, via The Jordanaires, the army years, authentic re-creations from the Hollywood movies and the stunning 68 TV special.

With nostalgic film footage, and over twelve costume changes, this glittering two-hour production features classic hits including ‘That’s Alright Mama’, ‘Suspicious Minds’, ‘It’s Now or Never’, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, ‘Blue Suede Shoes’, ‘Hound Dog’, ‘Love Me Tender’, ‘If I Can Dream’ and many more!

Jimmy Carr – Terribly Funny

Saturday 5 Nov @ Bonus Arena

Chambers Touring Ltd Presents… Jimmy Carr: Terribly Funny!

Jimmy’s brand-new show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things. Terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love. But they’re just jokes – they are not the terrible things. Having political correctness at a comedy show is like having health and safety at a rodeo.

Now you’ve been warned, buy a ticket.

The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight

Saturday 5 Nov @ Hull City Hall

A chamber orchestra breathing beautifully dark energy into legendary Rock & Metal tracks, in immersive settings. Bathed in a sea of candles, skeletal players with rhinestone masks effortlessly switch between sublime melodies & powerful walls of sound. Crooked lurching towers, floating lanterns & giant head-banging puppets set the stage for an otherworldly musical experience.

Following on from their sold-out debut tour, The Rock Orchestra return to the UK with a massive, brand new 90-minute set-list featuring the biggest rock and metal songs of all time, performed in stunning, candlelit surroundings.

Fontaines D.C.

Monday 07 Nov @ Bonus Arena

Fontaines D.C. released a second track from their highly anticipated new album Skinty Fia. “I Love You,” was met with international acclaim and joined the first single, “Jackie Down The Line,” in building widespread excitement for the band’s third album. Today, the beloved Irish band – who just took home the trophy for “Best Band In The World” at the 2022 BandLab NME Awards – released the album’s titular track “Skinty Fia,” accompanied by a music video.

Skinty Fia’ is very much a product of the people that made it, the Ireland they grew up in and the country left behind. Perhaps uncommonly in these times, it’s an album that begs to be listened to not a few tracks at a time but in full-length sittings, as its rich, profound content reveals more with every listen.
