Poorboy Boutique’s massive warehouse on Bontoft Avenue is packed full of vintage clothes from coats and jackets to jeans, boots, and loads more – and on Saturday 6th Dec from 10am to 4pm, you can dive in.
What started 15 years ago as a small side-hustle on eBay has grown into an operation that now processes over 15 tonnes of vintage every month, all run by a local family.
Owner Riccardo grew up on North Bransholme, and launched Poorboy Boutique 12 years ago, moving to Humber Street as one of its first clothing retailers – and has turned a love for old-school fashion and giving clothes a second life into a full wholesale business, with a proper purpose behind it. It’s all about reducing waste, keeping prices fair, and making vintage accessible for anyone.
And now, Poorboy Boutique are opening their warehouse to the public for a ‘Bag It Weekend’ on Saturday 6th December, from 10am to 4pm – letting you grab a bag for £40, or a bigger one for £60, and trawl the baskets for gems. And once you’ve filled it up, take it to the checkout and get it all for the price of the bag – as long as it all fits in!
You’ll find over 30 categories in the warehouse, from cable knits and grandad jumpers to Y2K jackets, branded track tops, leather aviators, football shirts, stylin’ hats, and much more!
Each bag can hold a retail value of £120 to £160 each, so if you’re after a proper deal on some vintage gems, make sure you don’t miss the event.
You can find the Vintage Wholesale Company at Unit 4, Bontoft Avenue, National Avenue, HULL, HU5 4HF, with the warehouse nearby – see on Google maps here.
