Thursday Lates: SALAAM!
Thursday 8 Jun @ Humber Street Gallery

Hull-based instigator, Michael Barnes-Wynters (MBW) delivers a response to Hetain Patel’s exhibition ‘Baa’s House’, including a performance in the preparation, cooking and offering of a designed dhal with chapatti for all attendees, aided by his collaborator Emma Diamond.
A physical print provocation titled ‘Curry Empire’ will be the evening’s ‘takeaway’ mindfood, it includes an editorial about the word curry and its origins, a dhal recipe, a ‘SALAAM!’ playlist and images from MBW.
‘SALAAM!’ is an ongoing series of peaceful interventions exploring otherness.

The Gathering Fest is a 5,000-capacity annual Dance Festival that takes place in Cleethorpes.

Festival of Volunteering
Saturday 10 Jun @ Princes Quay

The Time2Volunteer partnership is helping to host a Festival of Volunteers, and volunteers and the wider public are invited to join the celebration!
The festival starts during #VolunteersWeek (June 1 – 7), with a main event at Princes Quay Shopping Centre in Hull City Centre, on Saturday, 10 June between 12 noon and 3pm.
It will be a chance to celebrate volunteers (and potential volunteers) to grab a drink chat with other volunteers and meet organisations who need to recruit volunteers.
Activities will include face painting and entertainment from performers from Freedom Road Creative Arts, Hull Beats Bus as well as The Late Night Circus.

Beverley Musical Theatre presents The Addams Family
Tuesday 13 – Saturday 17 Jun @ Beverley Memorial Hall

The Addams Family Musical tells the story of the iconic family whose values of love, acceptance, and loyalty are put to the test when their now 18-year-old daughter Wednesday falls in love with a “normal” boy named Lucas. Gomez & Morticia are forced to grapple with issues of adaptation and acceptance as they try to embrace Wednesday’s new love while staying true to their own values.
The two families meet for a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences as Pugsley, Grandma and Fester try to meddle and end up disclosing far more than anyone had expected.
The show is rated PG with some mild language and subtle bedroom humour.
