Kick’s Bar & Grill
54 – 60 Paragon St, Hull HU1 3PE
Kicks is situated on the corner of Paragon Street and Charles Street and prides itself on being an authentic American sports bar through and through, from the menu to the decor. I’d never had softshell tacos before visiting here, and what a first experience it was.
With 11 large screens and a huge 100″ video wall, boosted by an incredible surround sound system, it offers a premium ‘fanzone’ type experience for almost all televised sports events. But the sports aren’t the only draw – a top selection of authentic American dishes make up the menu, from burgers and dogs to softshell tacos and loaded fries, and tons more.
Vox Box

Vox Box has been around for a fair while, but only recently have they started serving food – and it’s packed with all-American favourites.
A karaoke bar with private rooms and a sizable main bar & seating area, their new menu includes a selection of American street food that will get your taste buds tingling before rocking the microphone. Don’t think you have to sing though – they’re just as welcoming as any other bar & restaurant, whether you plan on belting out any tunes or not.
Yankee Land

It’s easy for some to forget about Yankee Land – if you stroll down Prospect Street often, as so many do, it can blend into the background a bit. And yet it’s one of Hull’s longest-standing American eateries, with their famous Yankee fries complementing the rest of the American menu.
Serving stack-em-high flame-grilled burgers, popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries and more, it’s open daily for lunch and located centrally in Hull city centre, making it perfect for a quick bite to eat with the kids!
Crafted
56 Princes Ave, Hull HU5 3QG
Crafted serve all-American-inspired comfort food, and the atmosphere inside is about as comfortable as it gets. With more of a rustic style than a lot of the big and bold diners on this list, it’s a great place if you’re looking for a quieter night out.
Their food is top notch too – from classics like massive burgers and loaded fries to mac and cheese and hotdogs, as well as sweeter treats like milkshakes, the menu is full of proper American nosh.

Beverley Hills Diner
Beverley Flemingate, Beverley
We’re cheating a bit with this one – Beverley Hills, a Hollywood-inspired bar and diner, actually opens later this month. But even if it’s not available this 4th of July, it’s still well worth mentioning!
The diner is set to infuse the streets of Flemingate in Beverley with a dash of California glamour when it opens, redefining the conventional American dining experience. It promises to cater to all tastes, from gourmet pizzas and burgers to pasta, bao buns, and American-style afternoon tea – with sweet treats and Hollywood-inspired cocktails too.
Dope Burger

We all know Dope Burger, and although they might not advertise as American, I know a few Americans that consider some of the monsters Dope Burger sells more American than the burgers they have over there! Dope are Hull royalty when it comes to takeaway and street food burgers, and for good reason.
Ranging from £6.50 to £8, Dope Burger have tons of meaty burgers on the menu with Yorkshire steak patties or fresh cornflake fried chicken at the heart of them. Some highlights include the Olde Amsterdam Burger which is served with raclette cheese and Guinness onions, and the DFC Chilli Beef which combines the dope flavours of fresh cornflake fried chicken and chilli beef.
There’s even the dope vegan burger, crafted with southern fried homemade seitan at the centre of it. And to top it off, Dope Burger also has a great range of desserts and milkshakes to finish out your meal.
Tribal Bar & Grill
Kingswood Retail Park, Gibraltar Rd, Hull HU7 3DB
Tribal Bar & Grill is Kingswood’s fully-fledged sports bar, and a joint venture by Hull’s Super League sides Hull KR and Hull FC, offering a menu full of great burgers, sides, and the usual American-style munchies.
Their menu features tempters, the perfect accompaniment for watching sports, along with burgers, sandwiches, and loaded fries, as well as a wide range of draught beers and cocktails to sweeten the meal.
