The Apollo is now open, boasting a significant investment of over £345,000, which has transformed the well-loved community pub to feature a host of exciting upgrades.
Introducing its innovative “Two Door Pub” concept, The Apollo now offers a sports bar area and a separate family lounge, creating two distinct spaces: a lively bar for the locals and a cosy, family-friendly lounge. Designed to cater to all occasions, The Apollo brings the community together, offering guests the flexibility to enjoy their ideal experience with no compromises.
To mark the occasion, The Apollo invited local community heroes Nicola Robinson and Gill Jagger of the Aim Higher Co-Foundation, together with Dean Hoggard from the Life for a Kid Co-Foundation, to pull the first pints and officially celebrate the pub’s grand opening. All individuals go above and beyond to help the local community through the various foundations they run.
The newly updated bar area features large HD screens to keep guests entertained with all the latest sports action. The space also includes a dedicated darts area and pool table, so guests can challenge friends, enjoy some friendly competition, and soak up the lively atmosphere.
The Apollo is a dog-friendly locals’ pub with a community feel. Locals can now drop by for a pint and a bite to eat, celebrating unmissable moments in the heart of the community. The pub continues to serve its much-loved favourites alongside a special festive set menu, featuring Christmas classics such as traditional roast turkey and indulgent desserts like dark chocolate mint tart. With gluten-free and vegan options available, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Now open, The Apollo, Hull, will host a variety of events, such as:
- Children’s Disco on 16th November
- Social Club on 20th November
- Quiz on 23rd November
- DJ Morgan on 26th November
