Legend Tony Christie joins forces with Irish and English musicians Ranagri for a very special night of music at St Nick’s, Beverley
About this event
Tony’s Irish roots – his grandmother and grandfather played in a ceilidh band – are celebrated on the album The Great Irish Songbook which came out in 2015. Collaborating with crossover folk band Ranagri, Tony produces a stunning set of traditional songs.
“Following on from the success of The Great Irish Songbook, Tony Christie and Ranagri have recorded a second album together, The Great Irish Songbook Vol II. In celebration of this they will be doing a short tour together in November and December at a number of venues from Glasgow to Southampton.
Ranagri (Eliza Marshall, Donal Rogers, Eleanor Dunsdon and Jordan Murray) are already well known to our folk audiences in our area and much loved. We are really pleased to be one of the few venues selected to host this short joint tour.
