Other Cinemas in Hull & East Yorkshire

You might have guessed by now that we’re big fans of Cineworld Hull who have kindly provided the tickets to run this competition. But we genuinely think it’s the best all-round cinemas in Hull for value (tickets are £5.99 or £6.99), comfort, screen quality, sound and seating position. It also has the largest screen in the city and other unique experiences that other cinemas in Hull don’t offer.

But there are a few other cinemas in Hull & East Yorkshire you might want to use instead. Here’s a quick guide to Hull & East Yorkshire cinemas:

Odeon Luxe Cinema in Hull

Kingston Retail Park

Odeon is one of the best cinemas in Hull, offering a fantastic luxury experience. Tickets are the most expensive in Hull at £14 peak for adults BUT… you get a full reclining padded leather seat with your own side table. There’s a bar too and a huge selection of drinks, snacks and treats. Plus you can save a ton by going in the week when it’s £9.95 adults, £7.50 juniors. You can also use Meerkat Movies to get 2 for 1 tickets every Tuesday and Wednesday. Not a bad price for a luxury experience.

Great for: Luxury and comfort, location, free parking (use the machine inside to validate)
Not so great for: Viewing angle, ticket prices

Vue Cinema in Hull city centre

Level 4, Princes Quay Shopping Centre

Vue cinema in Hull city centre is in a really good location if you’re meeting friends for food and drinks before or after. It has 9 screens located at the top of Princes Quay shopping centre. Parking is free after 6pm in the multi story car park attached to the centre (validation required inside). Vue offers a really good viewing angle, but the cinema hasn’t been updated a great deal, since it opened in December 2007 so seats are hard and uncomfortable. Tickets are good value though at just £4.99 each and 2 for 1 with Meerkat Movies on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

Great for: Ticket prices, location, viewing angle
Not so great: Comfort

Reel Cinemas in Hull

St Stephens Shopping Centre

Reel Cinemas in Hull is in a great location. Tucked away in the upper floors of St Stephen’s shopping centre, it’s easy to reach by public transport and there’s a nice selection of restaurants, fast food, Starbucks and even Lost City Adventure Golf just next door which means you can make a night of it without leaving the centre. Tickets are super cheap at just £3.50 each, but like Vue, it opened in late 2007 and hasn’t been updated much since so the viewing angle in the screen is a bit old-school and the seats can be uncomfortable. Still, it’s cheap and convenient.

Great for: Super cheap tickets, location
Not so great: Comfort, viewing angle, screen size

Parkway Cinema, Beverley

Flemingate

Parkway Cinema in Beverley is located nicely for those much further north in our region. It opened in December 2015 and offers a decent experience all-round with large screens and comfy seats. There’s a nice selection of restaurants, bars and a Starbucks in Flemingate so you can make a night of it in one place.

Great for: Large screens, comfy seats
Not so great: Viewing experience, pay to park
