Visitors to Hull Karting are now able to enjoy a bigger and better experience after the Hull Adventure Centre launched today (March 28th), as the east Hull facility marks its 20th anniversary.
Hull Karting’s new Hull Adventure Centre has introduced archery-tag, bubble ball football and dodgeball.
These new activities will help to offer further and more accessible provision to its already exhilarating experience off Poorhouse Lane (adjacent to Craven Park), whilst it has also created new local jobs.
The launch will take place on Wednesday 28 February, with around 40 young people invited along to have the first opportunity to sample the new activities.
The young people invited are from the council’s Room 42, a project which supports care-experienced young people, as well as their partners the ‘Warren Youth Project’, a local charity that also provides support to young people in Hull.
And there’s more to look forward to – the Adventure Centre is planning to introduce a quarter-of-a-million-pound high ropes course alongside the karting track with a zipline that will fly you straight over the karting track.
Cllr Paul Drake-Davis, Hull City Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, will be unveiling a plaque to mark the milestone on 28 February.
He said: “This is an exciting time for Hull Karting.
“The fact that it has managed to reach its 20th anniversary and to co-ordinate that with the launch of the new Hull Adventure Centre is fantastic.
“It will no doubt bring enjoyment to both those invited to the launch day and visitors moving forward.”
John Haines, Hull Adventure Centre manager, added: “This will be a momentous day for Hull Karting and the new Hull Adventure Centre.
“I cannot wait to welcome people along, both on 28 February and in the coming weeks and months.
“This will help to sustain our facility’s future, whilst also providing accessible provisions for the people of Hull and it’s visitors.”
