This stunning new restaurant in Hull city centre has turned an empty shell into one of the city’s most luxurious dining spots.
Rosedana Restaurant has been brought to life by global fashion designer Rose Al-Otaibi, who’s lived in Hull for over 40 years. Together with her partners Dana and Chris (hence the name Rose-Dana), she’s created a sophisticated and stylish destination with rose gold décor, elegant lighting, and a distinctive pink theme running throughout.
The menu brings together flavours from around the world, with beautifully presented dishes that look as good as they taste. For starters, we tried king prawns in Thermidor sauce with toasted parmesan bread, potted pork with spiced tomato chutney, and the chef’s seasonal soup — a tomato and basil blend topped with chorizo.
For mains, the Moroccan lamb shank was the highlight, served with tomato chickpeas and fresh vegetables — soft, tender, and full of flavour. The spiced cauliflower steak and seabass were both excellent too, with the seabass served in a rich, perfectly balanced sauce.
Desserts are equally indulgent, with Eton Mess, Mille Crêpes, and a smooth chocolate tart all on the menu. We paired ours with a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri, Mama Rose’s Radiance, and a classic Mojito.
After dining, guests can enjoy a unique touch — a perfume tray to lightly scent your hands after washing, adding an elegant finishing note to the experience. Rosedana also hosts karaoke and live music on selected nights, bringing a lively atmosphere to their refined setting.
To celebrate their launch, Rosedana is offering 10% off all cocktails for their first 1,000 social media followers. If you’re looking for elegance, culture, and incredible dining right here in Hull city centre, it’s well worth booking an evening at Rosedana.
You can find them at 29-31 George St, Hull HU1 3BA.
