Cointreau has transformed Hull’s finest sky bar to create a themed Acapulco terrace on the rooftop of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hull.
Cointreau and The Lexington have partnered to bring back the summertime spirit of Margaret Sames, inventor of the Original Margarita, to Hull.
Located on the 4th floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hull, The Lexington Rooftop cocktail bar is complete with heated outdoor terrace overlooking the city, floor to ceiling windows and VIP booth seating for celebrations.
The bar offers an extensive cocktail and mocktail selection as well as a wide range of gin, whisky, wine, Champagne and soft drinks to choose from.
The new Acapulco theme is inspired by Sames’ very own villa, where she would create extravagant parties, hosting a select crowd of artists, celebrities, business tycoons, adventurers.
The roof top bar will celebrate the new way of life Sames and her guests created at these parties with elegance, carefree living, and creativity at the heart of them.
The terrace takeover features vibrant orange seating, an Acapulco inspired swing, new soft furnishings, tropical foliage and feature artwork wall. Bringing the fruitful flavours of the distinctive, orange-flavoured triple sec liqueur and spirit of Margarita to life.
General Manager of The Lexington, Fernando Marques commented “One of the things I love the most about the Lexington rooftop terrace are the changing moods of the blue-skied, balmy afternoons to sensational sunset evening views.
“Providing our guests with the most amazing blue to orange shades whilst they get together and celebrate with a cocktail in hand. I can’t think of a better way to translate those vibrant, sun-drenched to sunset scenes to drinks than with Cointreau.”
