Three must-try breakfast spots in Hull

Here are three brilliant breakfast spots in Hull that are well worth checking out next time you’re in the mood for a proper morning treat.

First up is Asi Café, a cosy independent tucked away on Jameson Street in the city centre. This local favourite has built a great reputation for its breakfasts, especially their Mediterranean plate packed with olives, feta, crisp veg and Turkish sausage. You’ll also find all the classics, from omelettes to a full English, and they do a solid cappuccino if you’re after something quick on the go. It’s open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, making it a perfect weekday stop before work or a bit of shopping.

Next up is Daze Coffee House, found inside The Monocle building on Ferensway. It’s one of Hull’s newer cafés but already feels like a local staple thanks to its bright, airy space and calm, modern feel. The menu mixes creative drinks like mango and coconut matcha or pink chai lattes with fresh breakfast bowls, granola, fruit and yoghurt. You’ll also find toasties and lighter bites if you fancy something more filling. Daze is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays from 10am, so it’s a great choice for a relaxed morning coffee or weekend catch-up.

Finally, Pasco’s Italian on Lowgate brings a relaxed continental feel to your morning. Known for its authentic Italian dishes later in the day, it also opens early for breakfast, serving rich Italian coffee, fresh pastries and light bites from 8.30am every day. Whether you’re after a quiet spot to ease into your day or a proper sit-down brunch, Pasco’s has a calm, stylish atmosphere that makes even a quick coffee feel special.

So whether you fancy a Mediterranean twist, a modern brunch, or an Italian-style morning pick-me-up, these three Hull cafés are well worth adding to your list.
